It all started when…

Von Hot Rod was born into the motorsports industry in Southern California. His dad Ben, also known as “the Rod father”, was a sprint car driver and drag racer in the 50’s and the early 60’s. Shortly after Von was born, his father stopped racing and began building Kustom cars and Hotrods. This is where Von caught the hotrod bug.

Just barely in 8th grade, Von put together his plan of owning his own hotrod shop someday.

In high school, Von started repairing and flipping cars - doing whatever it took to make money to save toward his dream. By his 21st birthday he “broke ground” on his dream shop in Fontana, California. A short 5 years later, Von moved his shop from fontana to a much larger facility in Norco, California. there it grew to be a leader in the industry.

While setting trends in the hot-rodding industry, he also saw many other Opportunities to grow his brand. Von launched companies which included: Hot Rod’s Hangout (Rock-a-billy dance & swing club),Hot Rod’s Entertainment & Production Company (Event Planning), Hot Rod Records (record label), Hot Rod’s Kustom Clothing (men’s apparel line), Hot Rod Girl (women’s apparel line), and VHR Pinstripe Kouture (high end women’s accessory line).

After nearly 20 years of building his dream Von decided to sell his shop and focus on a new passion of pinstriping art. Today, Von has been instrumental in taking this art to the mainstream public. Von is now Traveling the world and sharing his passion with thousands of fans.

He is a sought after speaker and teacher and holds classes and seminars for thousands of students and motorsports industry enthusiasts. Von Hot Rod is considered one of the top international professionals of pinstriping.

Von has been named “The Master of the Fine Line”.

This industry has provided him with many opportunities to appear on national television shows and also be the honored guest at many international car shows such as “Car Crazy” with Barry MeguiaR, “My Classic Car” with Dennis Gage, “Gearz” with Stacy DaviD, “Hot Rod TV” Australia, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Canada, and more.

Today you will find Von Hot Rod at car shows throughout the country sharing his story and his passion for the Motorsports industry.
